Kings Getting Back on Track

For the first time since the start of the season, the Sacramento Kings have won two out of three games. Even though the Kings were losing, it seemed that they were getting better and were putting themselves in postion to win.

It took one incredible shot by guard Tyreke Evans in one game and a 19-2 run in another to for the team to earn those wins, but Kings assistantcoach Otis Hughley knew that a breakthrough was coming.

“I think all the work that’s been put in is starting to show its fruit,” he said after practice last Tuesday. “You work hard enough and keep working you get out of it what you put in to it.

“I think it’s happening but other teams are getting better too. Nobody’s going to lay down for you.”

Those words would hold true going into  Wednesday’s game against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. The Kings had lost 22 of their last 24 games and the Grizzlies who hadn’t made the playoffs since 2006, are in the playoff hunt.
