Cousins Shines at All-Star Weekend

Posted by rc360 on February 22, 2011

The Sacramento Kings didn’t go into All-Star Weekend on a good note. After rookie DeMarcus Cousins was held in Sacramento and fined after for an altercation with Donté Greene, the Kings were blown out on back-to-back nights in Oklahoma City and Dallas.

Tyreke Evans didn’t play in those games because the plantar fasciitis on his left foot worsened, causing him to miss the Rookie Challenge. He’s due to see a foot specialist in Los Angeles today, according to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee.

It’s unknown when Evans will rejoin the team.

Fortunately for him, All-Star Weekend was held in L.A. He, and the team, could take a break after earning 13-40 record.

Cousins was able to play in the Rookie Challenge. Evans was last season’s Rookie Challenge Most Valuable Player.
