    Small is a freelance journalist that currently writes about the NBA’s Sacramento Kings for Sacramento and

    He's held internships at various news outlets in Sacramento and wrote for the Kings’ Tyreke Evans for Rookie of the Year (RekeROY) campaign through Sacramento Press.

    He graduated from Sacramento City College with an Associate of Arts Journalism Publication Specialist degree.

    He earned a JACC Sports Game Story Honorable Mention writing for the school's student-run online publication at also wrote for it's print publication The Express.

    Small plans to transfer to Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA in the fall.

Kings End Slump with Win over Warriors

Since their last win at what was called Arco Arena on Feb. 28, the Sacramento Kings lost six games in a row heading into Monday’s game against division rival Golden State Warriors.

The Kings surrendered late leads in both of their previous match-ups, only to lose both games in overtime.

With Warriors fans traveling down from the Bay Area to Power Balance Pavilion the Kings would don their 1951 Rochester Royals uniforms one last time in what could be the last game between both teams in Sacramento. It would be a night fans many wouldn’t forget.

The Kings jumped out to a 19-3 lead less than five minutes into the game. The Kings were powered by the Kings were powered by Marcus Thornton and Samuel Dalembert’s career nights, leading the Warriors by as much as 25 points. Despite the Warriors’ late run from their bench, the Kings dominated the game, winning by a score of 129-119.
