Evans returns as Kings blow out Pacers

Posted by rc360 on March 26, 2011

The Sacramento Kings were looking to earn a winning record for their road trip when they visited the Indiana Pacers, who currently hold the eighth and final seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Kings did the Pacers a favor by beating the Milwaukee Bucks in their last game and dropping them three games behind the Pacers.

The Kings were done giving out favors.

Although both teams were separated by only four points at the end of the first quarter because of poor shooting, the Kings went on a 15-4 run in the second quarter, leading them to a 55-37 lead at the end of the first half.

The Kings were given a scare as Darren Collison and Danny Granger led the Pacers to an 11-0 run and cut a 22-point deficit to nine points. The run wasn’t enough to overcome Sacramento’s balanced attack.

The Kings pulled away to a 110-93 victory and are 3-1 on their road trip.
